Treasure Ministries

Carrying The Light of Christ Through Music For Over 20 Years!

 Dear “Treasured” of the Lord!

As we write this “Treasure Update” there is a sense of alertness in the air.  It certainly is not “business as usual” in our world.  We spoke to a banker that felt this is only the beginning of very rough financial times ahead.  She said, “nothing works anymore”.

Christians everywhere are crying out to God and asking for His protection, wisdom and guidance as the “handwriting is on the wall”.  Impending judgment is coming to the earth and each of us must be prepared.  “Occupy until I come” has taken on a whole new meaning.  At the same time, joy fills our hearts because we know the coming of the Lord is at hand.  In His mercy – He will allow the shaking of the whole earth and many will turn to Christ in these last days.  It’s not time to hide away in fear, but to rise up and carry on with the Master’s work!

Everything is being leveled, even society’s “standard of living”. Is it possible that America and other countries’ financial systems will continue to fall apart at the seams?   Only God knows the future and the timing for these last day events.  Isaiah 24:1-3 says;  “See, the Lord is going to lay waste the earth and devastate it; ruin

But in the midst of turmoil – GOD ALWAYS GIVES HIS PEOPLE A SONG!   Treasure desires to be positioned to “lead out” in a song of praise to Christ;  to shine forth with joy and gladness in a heart sick world!  Isaiah 24: 14-16 says; “They raise their voices, they shout for joy; from the west th; exalt the name of the Lord, the God of Israel in the islands of the sea.  From the ends of the earth we hear singing: Glory to the Righteous One.”

We believe at present, God is prompting us to dream bigger – to step up higher and to be used in a more powerful way!  On the horizon we see a broader audience – a sea of faces waiting to hear a song of hope through Christ.

Thus, we are sharing a general report of what we have done, where we have gone, and how we have spent ministry money over the past year.  Treasure is funded primarily through the sacrificial giving of individuals.  Since there is not steady support from churches or corporations it has been a faith walk for over 21 years.  But God has been faithful, and we have learned to be prudent stewards.   Please continue to stand with us through prayer and financial support.   As of this report, we are running a deficit, having spent more on our ministry expenses than we have received.  Treasure will continue to embrace the Nations through Worship.  The knowledge of God is being heralded throughout the earth.  His message is covering the globe and a prophetic song rings forth – Behold He Comes!

Our challenge to you is to “Get out of your house” – roll up your sleeves, find out what God wants YOU to do in these closing moments of time.  Make time and reach out to others as the Holy Spirit leads you!

We Love You,

Typical Missions expenses – Airfare for 4 – tips – lodging – food – cash offerings and many vaccinations (Jim yelled the loudestJ).  CD manufacturing.

Ongoing Missions NeedsHaving made personal direct connections with leaders overseas who desperately need ongoing help, we send financial support to the persecuted church, pastors, and seminary students overseas.

Reports from Myanmar

New Music! God is blessing Treasure with many new songs!  Our focus has been writing originals – producing albums and sharing Christ centered music.  We spend much time in   rehearsal; always with an emphasis on prayer and seeking God’s heart.  Every opportunity to minister is unique and sensitivity is key.  God showed up in a powerful way at our “FireStorm Concerts of Praise”!

Currently, we are finishing an 18 song CD and LIVE Worship DVD recorded with Worship leader Roney Jones of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

Music is made available at concerts for a donation, as well as Worshipmusic.com, treasure.org, and through mail order.  Much is given away for outreach.

Current Expenses –  As we finish our new CD/DVD project, we are trusting the Lord to provide for production expenses for the new project.    We believe this project will touch many, many souls around the nation and the world!

Adult & Youth Prison Work Treasure presents many Christ-filled concerts in prison camps and medium-maximum security facilities.  God’s anointing is so strong at these events, that we are amazed.  We sing, preach and testify and watch as many come to the Lord!

Each member of Treasure has clearance into any Arizona Youth Prison facility.  Part of our ministry is to go in weekly to work with imprisoned teens.  The work can be heartbreaking as we see so many sad situations, but so rewarding when “the light comes on”.  One of “our kids” said his greatest fear in life was not to know that someone loved him.  The dysfunction in many of their homes is shocking.  We keep pouring in Christ’s love.

The youth are touched through Bible study – one-on-one sessions – skits – music and Christian movies.  They graciously accept small prayer cloths that they can keep in their cells.  We anoint them and call them “cry blankets”.  They are “points of contact” for when they get homesick for family – are afraid or weeping.  They unashamedly tell how much these little blankets mean and we keep a steady supply as new prisoners come on the unit

Ongoing Prison-Youth Expenses:

·        Christian Literature ~ Book Marks, tiny posters for cells, Bibles & prizes

·        ‘Cry blankets’, Food & Christian DVD’s – resource material

Outreach To Children – One of our favorite times is ministry to children and teens through school chapels.  Their little heads bob to the music, they clap and cheer and of course want autographs. Ha!  Recently, we gave 100 CD’s so that every child was touched with our music at the Northwest Christian School, Peoria campus.  When you pour the presence of Jesus into a child, that “sweet taste” never leaves their mouths. …train up a child in the way he should go!

Benevolent Funds – Widows and other Ministries.  These amounts vary through the year, depending on specific needs.

Thank you for continuing to love and support Treasure Ministries!
